On Sunday, November 18th, 2018, Beirut celebrated the "Art Saves Lives" event at Le Yacht Club in Zaytouna Bay, a great initiative by Roads for Life – The Talal Kassem Fund for post-accident care, during which Sun Holiday Tours was a proud co-sponsor of the event.
For this occasion, fifteen artists, mostly of Lebanese nationality, customized each of them a helmet in their very own perspective, in the aim of highlighting the importance of helmets as an efficient tool that saves lives on our roads. Some of the most flagrant art pieces were Karim Chaya's "Wooosh" which looked like a helmet landing from outerspace at a speed that it was almost deteriorating, others as well such as Roger Moukarzel's helmet lamp, Nada Debs's minimalistic wood headgear, Gregory Gatserelia's Antzella black and gold helmet and Bernard Khoury's, which was transformed into a plant bowl as a symbol of life, with a title "Handle with Care".
World-renowned fashion designer Elie Saab also gifted a personalized Harley-Davidson gold motorcycle engraved with his emblematic flowers along with its matching helmet.
An auction took place during the event, and all proceeds collected will be raising funds for the many rescue program that Roads For Life is providing to several sectors in Lebanon, mainly doctors, nurses, paramedics, as well as recently to the Lebanese Armed Forces, the Internal Security Forces (ISF), the municipal police and very soon to other sectors that need those life-saving skills in Lebanon.
Saving lives is their motto, and Sun Holiday Tours will always remain a big supporter to this cause.
